Asaduddin Owaisi Sunday visited the home of deceased gangster-politician Mukhtar Ansari in his native Ghazipur in Uttar Pradesh.

“Today I went to the house of the deceased Mukhtar Ansari and paid tribute to his family. In this difficult time, we stand with his family, supporters and loved ones,” Owaisi said in a post on X.
The Hyderabad MP also took a veiled dig at ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying, “Insha Allah, the light will break through this darkness. If you are ‘Pharaoh’ then ‘Moses’ will also definitely come.”
Owaisi arrived at Ansari’s residence at around 11:50 PM on late Sunday night where he met the deceased gangster’s son Umar Ansari and consoled him.

Owaisi also met Mukhtar’s elder brother Afzal Ansari and later had dinner with the family.
AIMIM Uttar Pradesh President Shaukat Ali and other leaders of the the party accompanied Owaisi.
Mukhtar Ansari death
Mukhtar Ansari, who was lodged in UP’s Banda district jail, died of a cardiac arrest on Thursday last amid allegations of “slow poisoning” levelled by his family members, including his son, Mau MLA Afzal Ansari.
As per an official release, Mukhtar Ansari was brought to the Banda medical college at around 8.25 PM on Thursday in an unconscious state after he had complained of vomiting. A team of nine doctors attended to him but he died of cardiac arrest, it stated.
Earlier, Ansari was hospitalised for around 14 hours on Tuesday after he complained of abdominal pain.

Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari was laid to rest at the Kali Bagh burial ground in his native Ghazipur on Saturday. Ansari’s mortal remains were buried near the graves of his parents amid
heavy security deployment in Ghazipur where chaos erupted as thousands of Ansari’s supporters turned up for his last rites at the Kali bagh cemetery.
Ansari’s supporters, who turned up for the funeral in massive numbers, tore down barricades and stormed the cemetery grounds to pay their last respects to the deceased gangster even as security personnel deployed at the site asked them to proceed in an orderly fashion and maintain calm.
Court orders judicial probe
Meanwhile, the post-mortem report of Mukhtar Ansari was released by the Banda Medical College, confirming preliminary reports that the mafia-politician died of a “myocardial infarction” or heart attack, in simple terms.
Amidst the “poisoning allegations”, a three-member team has been formed that will conduct a magisterial investigation into the death of Ansari. The Chief Judicial Magistrate Banda issued orders concerning the judicial probe.
